To put it simply, Rio is one of a kind. She has moderate bone and coat and is everything you could want in an Aussie  smart, loving, active, and biddable. She is very high drive but does have the "off switch" that is characteristic of the breed. She can be reserved with new people at home as she prefers to watch her "herd" from afar, but at trials she is 100% in her element and everyone there is her best-friend (especially if she spots treats)! She even has the famous "aussie smile" that she loves showing off!

Rio and I started agility foundations early on, and once she was allowed on the equipment she progressed very quickly. Agility is where she shines, once she gets on the line she is completely focused on running hard and fast. We also dabble in rally, flyball, and stock work. She picked up flyball in a matter of a few months from her first practice to running in a tournament and no matter how much time she takes off from it, she never puts a foot out of place when picking it back up.

I could never thank Gearhart Aussies enough for this completely awesome, sassy, loving girl! I wouldn't trade her for the world!

Rio is now spayed due to age. She has been entirely healthy throughout her life thus far. She will get to focus on what she loves most - competing!
